I just got back from the doc today. He's a really cool guy. It's been like 5 years since I last got a checkup. I was talking about my future in whatever field I go into, and he was full of good advice. Stuff like "you'll never really know whether or not you'll enjoy it until you actually do it." I noticed he wrote it down next to my physical info, quick notes like "Ambitious! Looking to be in Digital Systems, Culinary Arts..."
So according to him, I'm physically alright, and I'm just getting over a cold. He told me there was a buildup in my left ear, so I asked if he could clean it out. What a mistake that was. He scratched the inside of my ear ("Well, I got a bit of that wax, and I have a notch of skin here..."), so now I'm sitting with a wad of cotton in my ear. I'm waiting until I stop feeling the bleeding before changing the swab. I'm kinda scared of taking it off, it's the thought of BLOOD COMING OUT OF MY EARS that scares me. I think I'll be okay though.
I also was prescribed a bottle of cough medicine from him. It's got codeine in it, so it can't be used in the morning or afternoon. I'm tempted to use it in the morning... but I'll be asleep across the day.
